This blog has no purpose other than to give my thoughts an opportunity to be corrected and/or supported. They will tend to be philosophical, mathematical or scientific thoughts, but in all cases will be purely amateur. I am not an academic and don’t have an academic approach to knowledge. Consequently, the ideas expressed will often be naive and suffer from a lack of rigour. They will also not be cited or referenced. This is because in most cases I will not know who gave me the idea. Some will be mine, but I won’t be clear about which are which. I don’t record sources, but other people’s ideas get assimilated and contribute to a life well lived.
To avoid boring repetition of phrases such as “I think” and “It is my guess”, text will be written as if it is fact. But in truth everything will be a guess in the process of being refined.
Where I receive feedback that is useful and/or corrective, I will modify my blog and cite the source of the changes and provide a link back to the helpful comment (if I can solve the mechanics of how to do that).
Comments are strongly curated. The comments will not form a large part of the product which is this website. Instead they will only be displayed if they have contributed to or are in the process of contributing to the text they refer to. This is to thank and attribute the commenter. Unfortunately, comments that don’t have that impact will be removed so as not to dilute the comments that do. It doesn’t mean that I am not thankful. I am, but reality gets in the way sometimes.
